TROUTWEIN, NICHOLAS - I live in Pennsylvania and my great-great-great
grandfather was Nicholas Troutwein. He was a Hessian
Soldier and stayed in America after the war. He
settled in York County, Pennsylvania, and married
Margaret Rudy from York County. They then traveled to
Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, where Nicholas became
a farmer. He was a devout Lutheran and was quite
prosperous I'm told. He is buried in a small country
graveyard at St. Stephen's Church in Huntingdon
County. I would love to know more about him before he
left Germany.
Any help you may be able to give me would be greatly
appreciated.
