" Guys get up. We're supposed to meet DJ and Marc at the ramps." June said lightly kicking Sati. Sati moaned and rolled over. " Up now." June commanded. Kara sat up and tossed a pillow at Lynne.
" Got dibs on the shower first." Sati said. June sighed as soon as they began to fight over who got to use the shower first.
" We got like four bathrooms. You don't have to start a fight." June said. The three looked sheepish. June began to pick up their things while Sati, Kara, and Lynne took their showers. About twenty minutes later Kara waltzed into the room. Her hair was wrapped in a towel.
" What time are we going to meet them?" Kara asked.
" Around twelve." June replied. Kara began rumaging around in a bag. Sati came in. June couldn't help but stare.
" What are you staring at?" Sati asked self concsciencly. Kara turned around and dropped the shirt that was in her hand.
" Have you um looked in the mirror?" June asked. Sati looked confused.
" No. It was too steamy so I figured you'd let me use yours." Sati replied.
" I suggest you so that now." June said. Sati took off. Sati stood before the mirror. Her face had a look of horror on it.
" My hair." Sati moaned. Her hair was now a nice shade of green. " How did this happen?" She glared at Kara who had began to laugh.
" Shut up." June said ripping Kara's towel off her head. She too had green hair. Kara stopped laughing. " It's not so funny now is it?" They heard a scream come from June's bathroom.
" MY HAIR!" Lynne screamed. Lynne walked out with her hands over her head.
" I'll kill him." Sati yelled.
" You guys shouldn't have picked on him." June said. June followed them down the hallway. They stopped in front of Zac's room. They knocked.
" Go away." They heard a muffled voice said.
" You get out here or we'll come in." Lynne said through the door. Zac opened the door a few seconds later. He looked adorable. His hair was wild and his cheeks were a rosy color. His face lit up when he saw Kara, Sati, and Lynne.
" I didn't know it was Halloween." Zac remarked.
" Look what you did!" Sati said. She grabbed him. " I'm gonna beat you."
" No you're not." June said rescuing Zac. " Zac how do you get this stuff out?"
" It comes out after thirteen washes." Zac said. He didn't look the least bit sorry for what he had done.
" I'm going to go shower." Kara said turning around.
" But we gotta be at the ramps soon!" June protested.
" I don't care. " Kara said. She walked into the bathroom slamming the door shut.
" Me neither." Sati said. She left. Lynne stood there.
" Let's go to the ramps." Lynne said.
" What about you're hair?" June asked.
" So it's green. Big deal. I've seen worse." Lynne said. June and Lynne grabbed their rollarblades.
Isaac sat at the table in the kitchen. He wished he was able to go with June. He and Taylor were going to a luncheon though. He looked up when Kay walked in. She sat down beside him.
" Hey." Kay said casually as she reached for a pear. " Sup?"
" Not much. Taylor and Zac are asleep and June and her friends left." Isaac said. He took a bite out of an apple. He caught Kay staring at him. She was smiling.
" Well I'm not doing anything. Maybe we can do somthing until you have to go." Kay suggested.
" Ok." Isaac said. " What do you want to do?"
" I don't know." She said. She sat closer. " How about a music lesson?" she asked after she polished off the pear.
" Ok. Do you have a guitar or do you need one of mine?" Isaac asked.
" I have one." Kay said.
" Ok." Isaac said. Kay's arm brushed against his. Her skin was dark compared to his. He blushed. He heard a cough. It was Sati and Kara. He thought they left with June. He heard Sati whiper something like they were sitting a little too close. He moved away from Kay. He couldn't help but feel guilty. He watched them grab fruit and leave.
" How about that lesson?" Kay asked.
" Alright." Isaac said. They headed for the den.
" Be careful." Sati said to Kara. Kara stared at the bottle of hair dye. They dumped it into June's bottle of conditioner. " This will teach her to take side with Zac." Sati said as she put the lid back on.
" She wasn't really taking sides with anybody." Kara said. " But still, if we have to have green hair then so does she." They had showered all morning long and most of it had washed out. There was still some green in it though.
" Let's go catch up with them." Sati said. They walked into the kitchen. Isaac was sitting at the table with Kay. Sati leaned over and whispered, " Don't you think they're sitting a little too close?"
" Yeah." Sati said. She coughed to get their attention. Isaac scooted away from Kay. " We're just gonna grab some fruit and leave."
" Was it just me or did Isaac look a little guilty?" Kara said as they began the walk to the ramps. " Do you think that maybe-?" Kara asked. Sati thought.
" Maybe." Sati said. " But Isaac doesn't seem to be the type to cheat."
" Yeah and Blaine wasn't either." Kara pointed out.
" Blaine didn't cheat. He broke up." Sati corrected. Kara shrugged.
" The point is that Blaine didn't seem the type." Kara said.
" Well I think we're just reading into this too much." Sati said as they neared the ramps. She could see June doing 360's. " Let's not say anything ok?"
" Ok." Kara readily agreed. " It's not like he's done anything."
" I just hope June doesn't get hurt." Sati said.
" Me too." Kara said softly.
