From: nicesmile1@juno.com Pan roast until blistered, black and soft, the following ingredients separately in an iron skillet: 2 large ripe tomatoes whole 3 jalapeno chiles whole 1 small white onion thickly sliced 2 cloves garlic (peel after roasting) 1/4 teaspoon dried Mexican oregano (or cilantro) 1/4 teaspoon cumin seed 1/2 cup water Salt to taste If you are a purist, chop everything together with a knife. If not, throw it in the blender. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
