NOTES:
Isaac and Anna had 9 or 10 children. One list ends with Isaac, Jr., born in 1781 - under it is written "born Danbury", but it is not known whether all children were meant or just Isaac Jr.
During the Revolution Isaac Phillips, Sr. is probably the Isaac Phillips listed as a private in Col. Fredrick Wessenfel's Regiment; Capt. White's Company of Dutchess Co. There are other Isaac Phillips' listed as in the Revolution, but this one seems the most likely to be ours because of being in Dutchess County, probably the part now Putnam.
By 1787 Isaac appears on the lease records, and the 1787 map of the VanRensselaer Manor - the part now Nassau, Rensselaer County, NY.
Anna must have died in or near Nassau as Isaac was apparently there by about 1787. He also would seem to have married Fanny Burch (2nd wife) in this area.
In 1790 Isaac was living in (now) Nassau with 11 in his family including he and his wife. Apparently, he lived just north of the village where 2 or 3 Earing families also lived. Fanny could have been of the Stephentown area - an adjoining town - as there were many CT and RI settlers there and she was of the Stonington, CT line of Burches.
Isaac died at his home in Nassau, Rensselaer Co., NY at age 90. It is not known where Isaac is buried, but it may have been in the Hoad's Orchard graveyard in the center of the village - now gone completely.
Isaac's will is on file at the Court House at Troy, NY. From an abstract, the will dated May 6, 1830, Probated Sept 20, 1830 - he was of Nassau and left the following: sons - Joshus, Isaac, Jr & Archibald; daus - Prudence, wife of Abraham Payne and Ann, wife of Lionel Laurence; grandson - Solomon Phillips. Exec: Chester Griswald and Thomas Sherman - Wit: Spencer Whiting and Jesse Smith.
